In 2005 Inara released her debut album ‘All Rise’. Produced and largely co-written by Michael Andrews (of the ‘Donnie Darko’ score), ‘All Rise’ is a collection of lush, intimately crafted songs. Almost all of the songs are written by Inara George herself. It does contain a cover of ‘Fools in Love’, a Joe Jackson song. She is currently working on 2 projects: George is Jones and The Bird and the Bee.

Butterfly currently resides in the United States. She released her first track of the album, “I Can’t Make Me,” in the UK first. It did poorly. However, when she released that track along with “Another White Dash,” her U.S. success was assured. While a second album is in the pipeline, there is no official date for its release.

The more I hear her voice, the more I want to listen to her music! It’s understated singer/songwriters like this that I appreciate and feel like it’s worth spending money on; when you buy the music, because it’s something personal they’ve poured their heart and soul into, unlike some commercial rubbish out there. This is what real talent should sound like.

She had her Norwegian debut in 1998 with the single “Unforgivable Sinner” (See video below) it proved to be a huge hit as it reached number one and kept that position for 8 weeks. I love Lene Marlin, I haven’t heard from her since her hit ‘Unforgivable Sinner’ but she’s an amazing singer/song writer, her last album ‘Lost In A Moment’ was released in 2005. If you haven’t heard her music, you’re missing out! The only recent recognition from Lene, is that she had written a song for Rihanna, entitled “Good Girl Gone Bad”. (from Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad” album). However there are rumors that she’s currently in the studio recording a new album? It’s not confirmed, but if it’s anything like what you hear below, here’s hopeing!!
